Illinois archery-Kapper deer vlog #5; Lots of action OCT 25, 2021

Join us in field for a near live Kapper deer vlog, Illinois archery, coming at you from our Southern Illinois hunting land & home farm that we live on. In today's Kapper deer vlog #5 my son Alan, and his buddy Justin made a 20-some hour drive for their first ever Illinois archery deer trip down to our Southern Illinois farm for some archery action. Today we spread out in 3 different blinds, each located on a beautiful food plot of half clover food plot and half fall food plots for deer. We had several nice buck encounters, got to see a lot of deer interaction, several bucks making scrapes and hitting licking branches, and of course it would not be a complete deer season without this!! Justin has been hunting the same plot for several days, and after my son, Alan, got a nice 9 point buck in the Triangle plot, Justin wanted to try that plot for this evening's sit, since Alan saw an even bigger buck than the one he harvested. So, Justin switched stands and wouldn't you know it.. A BIG Illinois buck showed up at the plot that he had been hunting for several days! We've got some nice video of that buck as he fed within 20 yards of the now empty stand that Justin had been hunting! But that is deer hunting for you! BTW, here is the video link to Alan's 9 point buck harvest, while he did not get the actual archery shot on video, he did get all of his audio and the adrenaline rush was quite overwhelming! And of course.. BAD LUCK strikes right in the nick of time!! As we were heading out to pull trail cam cards, and for me to give the boys a tour of our 149 acre Southern Illinois farm, my electric UTV quit!! And then it started raining on us!! Ugghh...
