So back to today's episode I will be helping out my buddy Curtis Rogers, from Midwest Farm & Land Co, Southern Illinois. I'll be taking out my imperial equipment trailer and hauling my Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer over to Curtis' 101 acre Southern Illinois hunting land to move and set in place a new deer tower that he recently purchased. Also I will give the back story to what Curtis has been up to and why we waited so long (couple days before 2021 Illinois shotgun deer season) to put this deer tower blind in place over the beautiful fall food plot of brassica's, winter grains and corn. Coincidentally, this project may just completely refute the old school notion that if you go into your woods or hunting property that the bucks and deer will not use that area again for awhile. In this case there WERE 3 NICE BUCKS harvested on opening day that might just prove that theory wrong! Here at Kapper Outdoors we enjoy living the dream every day in the woods and constantly work on our property and other's and share so many ways of Improving your property, Illinois land management projects, Fall food plots and brassica food plots for deer 2021, deer watering holes, and many other wildlife habitat improvement projects.
