DAY 2 of our latest adventure/land investment project from our Southern Illinois farm. Join us today for the very beginning of our next series of the entire process of building a new VRBO rustic cabin build series from our Southern Illinois land, which is smack dab in the middle of the Shawnee National Forest here in Southern Illinois. In today's episode, DAY 2, my buddy the 'plot slayer' was not available to help out and tag team with both bobcat machines. So in today's episode I will continue clearing trees and overgrown brush with both my bobcat e42 r2 series mini excavator and also will drag out many of the big trees that I pulled out since I literally need some working space back in the deep woods cabin clearing site. On the bobcat mini excavator I will have my 12 inch, narrow bucket on to help cut through the tree roots to remove the trees, brush and debris that I clear from the woods. We will be making several different piles of trees and brush; One will be a slash pile of all the junk stuff, then a cedar pile for future DIY cedar projects, which will include using some of this western red cedar to decorate the future new cabin, then a sassafras pile for more DIY rustic projects, and a Cherry wood pile for future wood projects, or smoking wood and lastly a firewood pile for future sales of firewood. Sharon will also be exploring the future pond site for trees that will be of use for her to make some DIY rustic cabin decor/farmhouse decor projects for the new VRBO cabin.
