Hey everybody, do you ever have a problem at Blackwater Wildlife refuge or at Susquahanna river with Channel, Blue or common catfish? do you have problems getting through all those hungry catfish to get to those target species? I'm going to show you how to catch, clean and cook those tasty channel catfish so you can make a tasty meal that even the kids will enjoy. Every type of catfish is edibile, blue catfish are the most invasive in Maryland. they are a huge problem because the juveniles as well as the adult cat fish eat other fish and wild life. Anyone who has ever caught a cat fish on a spinner blade or crankbait can attest to that. Channel Catfish are not invasive and Maryland DNR does stock them. There are no limit on these type of catfish and they are pretty tasty, blue catfish are by far better than channel catfish but this is what we caught. We had to go buy a few supplies for this meal including some extra catfish from the local store, panko bread crumbs and flour. We had everything else on hand including a good sharp filet knife. I show how you guys how to catch catfish as well as clean them and prepare them by deep frying them in oil. Enjoy the delicious channel catfish!
