Lesson 2: Why every Christian should Keep Watch for the Time and Season of our Lord's Second Coming

Jesus Christ and the Apostles repeatedly exhorted the Church to stay awake and keep watch for the soon coming and return of our Lord (Luke 21:36; Matt. 25:13; 1Thess 5:6). Keeping watch for the second coming of Jesus will produce in us the desire to be holy (1 Thess. 5:4-8) and serving Him at all times, preaching the Gospel (Luke 12:37).
