Ukraine War: Evacuees can finally leave the Azovstal steel plant

A long-awaited operation to evacuate civilians from the Azovstal steel plant in the south-eastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol is finally under way.

The UN humanitarian corridor has allowed more than one hundred civilians, mainly women and children, to escape to Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine.

But concerns remain about how fighters holed-up in the steel works will be treated.
