Hydra by Toto ~ Part One of the Trilogy in the Journey of Man

Hydra is the Title Track to Toto's 2nd album, and is the first song on the record...it marks Part One of a Trilogy of songs to start the album to teach us the Sacred "Heroe's" Journey we must all take to rid ourselves of the Abomination of the Desolation within our Heads...Song One, Hydra, Song Two, St. George and the Dragon, and Song Three, 99, or Most High...this is removing the Hydra, or Killing the Dragon, this is Doing the Work to remove the Human Left Brain Ego from control, and to regain Mastery of Oneself by Casting thy Net to the Right Hemisphere of the Brain, and coming to know God Face-to-Face in a place called Pineal...Show more

In the song, the Hero has received the Baptism of Water, and thus, has become aware of the basic Truth of our enslavement at the Hands of the Cabal, and like the Fools we were, we Rush out to defeat the Hydra or Dragon, without first knowing the fullness of our situation, and thus, we taste defeat...but, God Loves a Trier, and if we Try and Try again, then we can re-learn Mastery over ourselves, and become Warriors of God...

And this leads us on the Christic Journey to the Baptism of Fire, whereby following the Path that is Straight and Narrow, laid out for us by Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, then we are ABEL to emulate St. George and Slay the Dragon within us, ending this Abomination of the Desolation forevermore...and once we re-gain control of ourselves, then we truly do meet God face-to-face in that Hallowed Place called, Pineal...and this is the Song, 99, which completes this Trilogy of the One Story, the Heroe's Journey of Innerlightenment...
