43rd in our series the Book of 1 Peter

I. Nothing Hidden that shall not be Revealed - Luke 8:17
A. Jesus will expose to ruin unrepentant sinners
B. The prosperity of the wicked is fattening them for slaughter - Psalm 92:6-9
1. The fool doesn’t understand the end of the wicked
2. The destruction of the unrepentant will be eternal
3. The enemies of Our Lord cannot ultimately succeed
II. Do the Wicked Really Prosper? - 1 Peter 4:4-5
A. The wicked speak evil of the righteous
B. They cannot escape judgment, they will give an account
1. Jesus Christ is the Judge of all mankind
2. He is ready at a moments notice to judge this world
a. Whenever the Father issues the command
b. At the Second Advent He comes as Judge - Revelation 19:11
3. At The Great White Throne Judgment the books will be opened - Revelation 20:11-15
a. The book of each person’s life, record of all thoughts, words and deeds - Matthew 12:36
b. The Book of Life - names of all the saved
4. For the saints - Psalm 103:11-13
a. Because the blood cleanses us from all sin
b. Our book is cleansed of all sin - Micah 7:19
c. The only sufferings/disciple will be in this life - Hebrews 12:5-8
C. God’s purpose is for all to be saved - 1 Peter 4:6
1. But what about those who have never heard?
2. They are without excuse - Romans 1:18-21
