With prices falling and inventory rising, it looks like the housing bubble could get bad. Wait, are we even in housing bubble trouble? Is 2021 THE NEW 2008 housing market? The answer to both of these questions is maybe, we don't know yet for sure. Although it might look like a housing bubble is about to burst, the only way to know FOR SURE is to listen to his podcast and use the formula from Doug Reynolds who was in the absolute middle of it last time. He was there right when it started in 2005, and he's been in real estate every day ever since. In this episode of Beyond the Baseboards, you'll meet Doug Reynolds. He's a very experienced agent in the Sacramento California Area. We will be talking about the housing bubble in 2005, what it was like after the implosion of the market in 2007 and what has happened since then. Doug is a very funny and very very experienced real estate agent who has been through it all. Starting at the toughest possible time in real estate teaches you few things, and it's clear that he has a handle on what is happening right now - and how that might impact you.

One of the things that really stood out to me about Doug Reynolds was that he is almost ALWAYS way ahead of it. He's a problem solver, but he's also really good and understanding what is going to happen before it happens based on his deductive reasoning. Case in point, and I know it's a small thing - but one of the first things he did when he started as a real estate agent was to get on YouTube. NOBODY was thinking about this in 2006, but to him it just made sense. Doug is smart, but more than that.. he's insightful. And in this episode, we are lucky enough to get his assessment of what is happening in the market and HOW to determine if and when we are in a housing bubble. It's a great episode and super useful if you are considering buying or selling soon.

A little bit more about Doug Reynolds, as I shared he is a Sacramento Area Realtor that enjoys helping sellers, buyers and investors with their Real Estate needs. That means something different each and every day. Showing property, negotiating great deals, marketing his listings to stand out from the pack, coordinating the entire escrow process, attending inspections, writing contracts, meeting appraisers, cleaning the toilet of a vacant property before an open house, advising sellers on the best ways to maximize profit… He's there through the entire process, He grew up in Ventura, Ca and moved to Sacramento in 2002. Graduated from Sac State in 2006 with a degree in Real Estate and Land Use and immediately started as a Full Time Realtor.
