She believes the minority voice provides necessary value, specifically because it brings diversity to the conversation. “Humans instinctually fall into line behind a majority leader and we tend to avoid standing out from the crowd, causing bad ideas to appear to enjoy popular support when they merely enjoy group compliance.”
