LTC Robert M. Bowman, Ph.D., US Air Force (Ret.)

Lieutenant Colonel Robert M. Bowman (born 1934) is a former Director of Advanced Space Programs Development for the United States Air Force in the Ford and Carter administrations, and a former United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 101 combat missions. He holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

With a 22-year United States Air Force career, LTC Bowman was an Assistant Dean at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. He also taught Mathematics and English at the University of Southern California, the University of Maryland, and Phillips University.
