Hot Red MCM Dresser Makeover | Furniture Restoration and Painting

In this makeover, I transform a mid-century modern dresser into a piece that's guaranteed to make any room POP.

I purchased this piece off of Facebook Marketplace and picked it up locally for $60. When I saw the seller's photos, I thought I would be going with a rustic industrial cabinet style, but as soon as I saw it in person, my vision changed completely. The way the body was shaped, along with the design of the handles, reminded me of a hot red classic sports car from the 50s.

Painting in such a bright red color felt ambitious and out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I followed through with the idea and I love the way it turned out. It's always better to try and fail than to let fear stunt your growth.
