National Verified Handyman Registry

It’s been 20 yrs since my spot on NBC Los Angeles talking about hiring a handyman vs a Licensed Contractor limiting risk. Prompting the idea and start of the United Handyman Association. Now we are taking the association to another level with a National Verified Handyman List. Making it easy for anyone looking to hire a handyman or check one they already have to access a National list to see if their handyman is a verified business with proper structure and required insurance. They will also be making sure the business they are hiring is not a felon or registered sex offender. Giving everyone the ability to decide for them selves who they hire with the knowledge they obtain. Customers can submit their handyman for screening through the UHA MyHome program or Handymen can register and submit their information to the UHA themselves. The UHA working with State Contractor Boards, County and city business license holders and online searches are imputing handyman businesses as verified or not verified. Criminal record warnings will be linked to. UHA certified members will also have links to their verification pages showing more detail.
