Transforming the terrors of war into blissful moments through art

Back in 2018, when the horrors of war shook the entire world, a cartoonist from Bangladesh decided to show the world a better picture with his drawings and so he transformed the terrors of war into joyful moments.

Morshed Mishu, a Bangladeshi cartoonist whose drawing series “The global happiness challenge” went viral all over the internet, showed the world that happiness doesn’t cost much but wars cost a lot, more significantly, people’s lives.

Morshed Mishu is currently the Assistant Editor of The Monthly UNMAD and the Founder of Morshed Mishu’s Illustration. He wasn’t really aiming to be a cartoonist. His journey with drawing started back in his childhood when he used to try to copy the drawings from the comic books that his brother bought him. Even though he wanted to join the army, he ended up joining UNMAD and eventually became one of the influential cartoonists globally.
