Gold is valuable, far too valuable to be useful for everyday transactions. A one-ounce gold coin is worth about $1,800. Goldback offers a convenient solution to this problem. Goldback is a new form of money physically backed by gold; that is to say, it is literally backed by gold. Each Goldback is a thin, measured layer of pure gold sandwiched between two protective, polymer layers. This allows the gold to be divided into denominations small enough to buy a loaf of bread. Goldback is not affiliated with the Zarahemla Foundation, but we are excited about what they are doing and want to help spread the word.
