How to check what sites know about you

While you are working, watching videos, studying, reading articles or shopping online, websites are collecting data about you. They know not only your IP, but even how you moved the cursor on the site.

To find out what tracking tools a particular resource uses and what it knows about you, use the Blacklight service (https://themarkup.org/blacklight). This is a robust web privacy inspector that will show you everything that websites are hiding from you.

We insert the address of the desired site in the line "Enter a Website Address", click on the search button and wait a bit. You will see detailed statistics - whether the service uses advertising trackers, collects browser fingerprints, monitors cursor movements or not. It's easy to become paranoid!
