Great Pyrenees Guardian Pup Training

So we have two Great Pyrenees pups here that are beginning their livestock guardian training! We have myotonic goats on our farm for exposing livestock to the pups. Preferably, you want a pup that has been whelped safely in a barn and exposed through a fence to livestock. This imprinting from right after birth is the absolute best start for a livestock guardian pup. However, they are still trainable if they were whelped separate from livestock. These particular pups are 8.5wks. The puppy with the grey badger markings, Honey, has been in this lot for 2-days. She's very comfortable around the goats. The white pup, Lily, was introduced to the goats for the first time today. As you can see, she's reluctant. Within days, she'll be as comfortable up close with the goats as Honey!
