Food Forest: Building a natural garden bed and selecting seed for planting.

Working in the Food forest, I am building a natural garden bed using inputs from the homestead. Inputs include chicken manure compost, and swamp water solids. We will use the swamp water through out the season to feed other plants.

Seed starting in February is tricky. We are making selections like sweet peas, or you may have heard them called english peas, salad and stir fry greens, flowers and trees are all selections we will be planting in the next episode. In this episode we make our selections and continue planning to plant by the moon, using the almanac.

Gardening by the almanac, is off and running. The gardens, raised beds, and food forest are all being expanded, and improved as we get new plants, and information from nature using natural gardening methods.
