Protecting Tomatoes and planting root crops

Protecting tomatoes from frost and cold shock is vital in some hardiness zones to extend the season. While we do have a long extended growing season, getting tomato starts into the ground and protecting them from chilly night time temperatures is vital to harvest success and productivity.

We also check the germination of the carrots we started using the board method for starting carrots. This time we recycled cardboard to achieve the moisture capture for germination.
