‘The Azov’! I don’t know how many there were, but Azov took 250 of ours. Ordinary people. They lined them up, then followed and shot at them from the ground floors,’ a Mariupol resident says. Locals tell stories about Ukrainian nationalist and armed forces coming into their towns and villages, hiding among the civilian population, with tanks firing in the middle of residential neighbourhoods.
