Clashes erupt in Istanbul at protest against life sentence for Osman Kavala

Dozens of protesters were arrested at a rally condemning the sentence of life in prison for the Turkish activist Osman Kavala. The demonstrators denounced the verdict for the philanthropist, who was sentenced on controversial charges of attempting to overthrow the government during the Gezi Park anti-government protest in 2013.
