AIER's Bastiat Society program in Washington, D.C. hosted a special in-person panel discussion with Todd Zywicki, George Mason University Foundation Professor of Law at Antonin Scalia Law School and Jenin Younes, Litigation Counsel at the New Civil Liberties Alliance on December 3, 2021.

This discussion examines Professor Zywicki’s complaint against his employer, George Mason University (GMU), filed by his legal counsel, Jenin Younes, for imposing a blanket Covid-19 vaccine mandate on all of its employees and GMU’s subsequent granting of a medical exemption for Professor Zywicki on the basis of having naturally acquired Covid-19 immunity. Professor Zywicki and Ms. Younes will further discuss the implications of their successful challenge to GMU’s vaccine mandate on other vaccine mandates and the outlook for constitutional challenges to government public health mandates across the United States.
