In this episode of Know Your Stuff, we interview Daniel Montero, a Cuban journalist at Belly of the Beast. We talk about the goal of 'Belly of the Beast' and their documentary series called 'The War on Cuba,' which focuses on U.S.-Cuba relations - specifically the trade embargo. We also examine what to expect from the Biden administration and from the new Cuban leadership under Miguel Díaz-Canel, who recently took over from Raúl Castro. Finally, we discuss what the generational change means for the future of Cuba and Cubans.

Daniel Montero is a journalist with Belly of the Beast, where he helped make the acclaimed documentary series ‘The War on Cuba’. He graduated from the University of Havana’s Communication School in 2020 with a degree in Journalism.
