So recently I have talked a bit about how El Salvador adopting BTC as an official currency is much bigger news than most realize. I also said that Panama and Costa Rica were both considering it, and all this would lead other small nations to do the same. I also said Costa Rica is considering it, but Panama is going to do it, full stop.

Fast forward about 15 days and here is where we are…

El Salvador is now tying to figure our how to start paying government salaries in BTC - https://finance.yahoo.com/news/el-salvador-minister-clarifies-bitcoin-071540475.html

Panama is going to send a BTC bill to their congress in July - https://www.coindesk.com/panama-to-present-crypto-related-bill-in-july

Paraguay is looking to adopt BTC with a bill being drafted to make it happen - https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/bitcoin/politician-from-paraguay-calls-for-making-bitcoin-legal-tender

(CABEI), which has 15 member countries, will help El Salvador implement bitcoin as legal tender - https://news.bitcoin.com/central-american-bank-for-economic-integration-help-el-salvador-implement-bitcoin-as-legal-tender/

The CABEI is the Central American Bank for Economic Integration is made of 15 nation’s national banks, and it includes the following nations. And pay close attention to some of them, not quite in Central America, some not even close.

They are Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Belize, Mexico, Republic of China (Taiwan), Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Cuba, and Korea.

Wait! What! Taiwan, Spain, Korea!

Yes my friends and of course that Korea is the Southern Variety. This means again more than you think. It does not mean these nations are going to jump on board and do it too, swiftly. It does show they are not going to stand in the way of it happening though.

The next list of nations who are likely to get in on this? Here you go, Paraguay, Argentina, Panama, Brazil, and Mexico. This is all going to move very fast from here. It will not look fast while it is happening but in the context of monetary history it will be like lightning. Once it has happened it will have seemed to occur “over night”.

African nations are considering this as well, the two most likely to jump in first seem to be Tonga and Tanzania. Once again small nations will very small influence in the world. But something is coming and coming soon, I will give you one version of what it may look like today.
