Political parties are completely external to America's founding vision. Indeed, many of the founders never conceptualized a free government dominated by factionalism and private interests, but rather one forged to preserve liberty. Unfortunately, many of the American founders defaulted from their initial visions and became tied up in factionalist conflict. Today, political parties are some of the greatest marks on the Republic's advancement.
