Supreme Court Allows Top-Rated U.S. High School's New Controversial Admission Policy

The Supreme Court declined to block a top-rated U.S. high school’s new admissions plan despite a community group’s claim the rules discriminate against Asian Americans. An applicant's race is not evaluated in the system however, the district undertakes a “holistic review” of a student’s background including socioeconomic status.
