Did GRANDMA Make GINGERBREAD?! The Sencillo Platinum 2020 Pyramides - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Right off the bat, I noticed the rich, dark wrapper of the Sencillo Platinum 2020 Pyramides. However, the label says it's from Honduras, which suggests a milder cigar. This could get interesting!

After taking the cigar out of the cellophane, I noticed an odd, musty, welcome-to-grandma's-house smell to the cigar. Specifically, like grandma's house after she's been baking gingerbread. What a peculiar mix of aromas and emotions going into this Sencillo Platinum 2020 Pyramides.

Cutting just the smallest bit off the torpedo tip gave a great draw. On the cold draw, I tasted a pine wood that reminded me of Christmas.

Through the middle of the cigar, the flavors weren't bad. I tasted tobacco that was mild, floral, and a little bit spicy. The draw was perfect, and this cigar goes to show that you can still get a great draw on a torpedo cigar if it's rolled well.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the highlight of the Sencillo Platinum 2020 Pyramides was its perfect draw. In that regard, this cigar punches way above its price point and perfectly illustrates that even a torpedo cigar can be a delight to smoke.

However, the flavors were just ok. I think this blend could use some additional time in the aging room. Additionally, outside the perfect draw, the construction was just ok. There were some burn issues, and I had to relight the cigar twice.

While this cigar had some issues and could benefit from some additional aging, I'd smoke it again. So, the Sencillo Platinum 2020 Pyramides earns a CigarScore 3.
