A History of Ukraine: The Gates of Europe(an War) - part 14

Something of a Ukrainian history lesson, using Serhii Plokhy's 2015 book The Gates of Europe, and focused on matters relative to today's war, including Ukrainian cultural development and nationalism, Russian influence, the role of Jews in this history, and even the Ukrainian Greek Catholic or Uniate Church. Oh, and Austrian Galicia too.

The 14th and 15th parts address the beginnings of the Soviet period in the 1920s, but as always from a nationalism standpoint. That starts with explaining the failure of Ukrainian nationalism in 1917-21 and the failure of the author to include great power politics at that time, ends with addressing the Jewish/Ukrainian Questions in reformed Poland, and through this he does occasionally touch on Jewish matters, from the notorious Lazar Kaganovich to the new US immigration limiting laws, and of course "antisemitism" as always.
