Moderately UN-INTERESTING. The Drew Estate BOTL Lancero - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

In case you weren't aware, BOTL stands for Brother of the Leaf. And, when I saw that Drew Estate made a BOTL Lancero, I knew I wanted to smoke one!

Visually, the Drew Estate BOTL Lancero is pretty plain. The label is brown and gold, and there's not much to it. The cigar itself has a somewhat musty aroma to it.

After lighting the cigar, the flavors remained a little musty, but with a little bit of sweetness that was interesting. Through the first few minutes, the draw and flavors were good, but the burn was uneven from the very beginning.

Through the middle of the cigar, the burn-related construction issues continued. The burn was very uneven. The cigar went out and I had to relight it.

Final Thoughts

In the final third of the Drew Estate BOTL Lancero, the cigar went out again, so it wasn't a mistake or a fluke earlier. In the first half, the burn was terribly uneven. In the second half, the cigar went out twice. However, it could have to do with the fact that I smoked this cigar in the rain.

Burn and other issues aside, the draw was good and the flavors were good. Despite the challenges, I enjoyed this cigar.

While this cigar is fairly un-special and un-interesting, it did offer up a decent smoking experience. So, the Drew Estate BOTL Lancero earns a (low) CigarScore 4.
