AGED for 367 Days - The COHIBA Blue Toro - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Some cigars you age. Others you smoke right out of the box. Today's cigar, the Cohiba Blue Toro was a cigar I'd had in my humidor for just over a year, and hopefully, it's ready to smoke!

The Cohiba Blue Toro is a good-looking cigar. It's medium in color, the veins are thin and well dehumidified, and it appears well made.

After a quick cut from my guillotine, the Cohiba Blue had cold draw flavors that were of pine, maybe cinnamon, and perhaps something akin to Christmas. One a second cold draw, I distinctly tasted carrots. So weird.

However, once I lit the cigar, I started to enjoy the flavors of the Cohiba Blue Toro. On fire, the cigar tasted like wood and spice, a little bit of creaminess, and mild hints of ginger.

Final Thoughts

Coming in at a smoke time of 67 minutes, the Cohiba Blue Toro didn't last as long as I would have liked or expected with a toro. Also, the burn was fairly uneven for most of the cigar.

However, the draw was great and the flavors were good. And, had I not been looking at the cigar, I wouldn't have been negatively impacted by the burn problems.

While I did enjoy the flavors, there were a couple of construction issues, so the Cohiba Blue Toro earns a CigarScore 4.
