LITA - a LOVE Story... of our Time.

The focus of ‘Lita’ resides in the fundamental belief that the soul of all love in the universe emanates from within.

The true bloodline to all human existence.

It’s 1985 and Lita is born into the harsh, cold and lower-class society of a small Russia provincial town named Chernovthy– but everyone calls it ‘Little Paris’. Her father and mother work hard to pull together an environment for Lita that may be built on very little money or material possessions, but a great wealth of love. After the traumatic loss of her mother, Lita immigrates to Sydney, Australia to not only build a new life for herself, but too, one in which she will no longer be pained by the perpetually present memories of her mother.

Arriving in Sydney, Lita does all she can to prove her independence and ability to reside upon her own two feet.
It’s 2015 and we’ve jumped six years ahead. Lita is far from the naturally stunning, organic, authentic and centred woman we first laid eyes upon and she’s looking for self-love in all the wrong places. Her hair colour is that of a peroxide blonde, she wears copious amounts of make-up on her face, she’s never seen in anything but designer clothing, she lives behind the screen of her iPhone, she’s addicted to prescribed anxiety medication/ as well as over the counter quick fixes, she’s constantly changing her look to keep up with society trends, she is addicted to fitness and uses it as a distraction from her cash and material full, empty life, her marriage is on its last legs, she has become entirely negligent towards her relationship with her six year old daughter Amelia and worst of all she has lost every fraction of a relationship she once had with herself.

Having left her humble Russian culture long behind Lita continuously fails to recognise the fatal flaws she has obtained after continually beating to modern societies drum. Lita lingers down the slippery slope of a consumer ill civilization, until her and her Bentley plummets a great twenty feet down a cliff. Miraculously, Lita survives the accident, but her sick consumerist ways do not. Lita, after travelling her ‘near death path’ to the other side ‘comes back down to earth’ with a burning desire return to her old hometown in Chernovthy. It is here that her father presents her with her deceased mother’s memoirs which outline the fact that not only did Lita already have all she needed, but too, the answer to a wonderful and unimaginably perfect life if she simply looked within. After learning this, Lita begins to live life simply, but too it’s full. Wholly returning to her natural roots, she saves her marriage, her relationship with her daughter and most importantly, her own life.

The focus of ‘Lita’ resides in the fundamental belief that the soul of all love in the universe emanates from within; the true bloodline to all human existence. Like the nucleus to the atom, all other forms of human love are concomitant to that core fundamental; growing from it, depending on it, creating relationships with it. Our mother bares us and we are born into the world where the infinite cycle begins, the unbroken lifeline; like the seasons to nature and the stars to the heavens, an everlasting continuum. In returning to her raw self, Lita discovers that the core of her true being has been omnipotent from birth. It trounces subversion and is the source of worldly commitment and spiritual contentment; a doorway to the existential understanding of life and truth.
