Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States has seen an erosion of its social institutions at the hand of the government. California and New York City imposed immoral restrictions on churches in the name of "public safety," only to be eventually overturned by the Supreme Court. Government spending supplanted individual efforts to address pandemic-related issues, and other issues in general. Such issues transcend the pandemic, going all the way back to FDR's New Deal and an attempt to provide a "social safety net" for vulnerable individuals. Mr. Watson explains how government interventionism erodes the power of the community, and how that threatens the very foundational basis of the United States.
