Samuel Olson was taken by an unknown male from a southwest Houston home in the 8800 block of McAvoy Dr. at about 7:30 a.m. on May 27th 2021. Samuel was wearing a gray t-shirt with a red Kool-Aid man on the front of his shirt, jean shorts, and white “Buzz Lightyear” tennis shoes. Samuel was also wearing two mis-matched superhero socks. Samuel has golden-brown hair, but he also has a patch of white hair on the back / right of his head. He is missing two of his bottom teeth, and he has a crease (or pointed area) on the top of his left ear.

Theresa Balboa, who is Sam's father's girlfriend, said she last saw the child on last Thursday morning in the 8800 block of McAvoy Drive in southwest Houston.

"I was going to take Sam to school when his mother showed up with the police officer, or who I was under the impression to be a police officer, and they demanded me to release Sam," explained Balboa on Monday.

However, Satterwhite said investigators have not been able to verify that and, in fact, Sam may have gone missing weeks ago. The last time anyone outside of his family saw him was at Holbrook Elementary in Cy-Fair ISD on Friday, April 30, according to police. The last day of school is June 3.

The roommate of a woman accused of trying to hide her boyfriend's 5-year-old son now faces a charge in the high-profile case.

Eyewitness News has learned Benjamin Rivera, 27, has been charged with tampering/fabricating evidence
