Depp wanted Jack Sparrow to have 'proper goodbye'

Johnny Depp on Monday (April 25) described Disney's decision to cut ties with him by saying, "suddenly I was guilty until proven innocent." He added, "My feeling was that these (Pirates of the Caribbean) characters should be able to have their proper goodbye... There's a way to end a franchise like that... I planned on continuing until it was time to stop."
