Brother Bunin told his Twitter followers: “On the outskirts of Bryansk, two fuel tanks are burning in an army unit on Moskovsky Prospekt and an oil refinery in Snezhetsky Val.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's independent media outlet, Euromaidan Press, reported on the explosions and said it was part of the Druzhba pipeline transporting oil from Russia to Europe.

They revealed: “The explosions were reported from Briansk of Russia.

“Russian media wrote that the Druzhba oil depot exploded. It is part of the Druzhba pipeline that brings oil from Russia to Europe via Ukraine and Belarus."

Bryansk is located 286 miles southwest of Moscow and 295 miles from the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

The city is the administrative center of the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine.

According to The Financial Post, the Ministry of Emergency Services has confirmed that this was a Ukrainian attack, aimed at stopping the Russian military advance into Ukraine.
