Cascadia Fallen Interview with Austin Chambers - L2Survive with Thatnub

At the Panhandle Preparedness Expo in Northern Idaho last year, I got to talk to the author (Austin Chambers) of one of my favorite post-apocalyptic books series (Cascadia Fallen). I like the books because it takes place where I use to live and at the gun range I use to be a member of. If you have ever lived in the Puget Sound area, especially near Kitsap County, you can map out most of the story in your head.

The book is about a 9.0 earthquake that triggers Mt. Rainier into erupting leading to the total annihilation of all infrastructure in the Pacific Northwest. Just how long until the wolves realize that the Government can no longer help?

In Slaughter (Kitsap) County, an impromptu group of people bands together for mutual safety, while others at a nearby Naval Shipyard work non-stop to avert a nuclear-powered disaster.

Follow unprepared survivors who must adapt on the fly in order to save themselves…and the ones they love. The best and worst of humanity surface, as one family, learns about the ultimate sacrifice. Will the American Spirit be enough to see them through their own, personal apocalypse?
