The Real Man-Eating Lions That Inspired ‘The Ghost and The Darkness’

The continent of Africa is home to some of the most beautiful places on Earth, but it’s also home to some of the deadliest animals on earth.

For nine months, in 1898, in the Tsavo region of present day Kenya, two of Africa’s deadliest lions stalked, preyed and ate 35 railway workers.

They were called The Ghost and The Darkness. A historical horror movie, also called The Ghost and The Darkness, tells the true story of the Tsavo man eaters.
