Interview: Sean Cahill, 'Tic Tac' response coordinator, onboard Aegis Cruiser USS Princeton
4 years ago
13
In 2004, the Aegis Missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG-59) tracked several unidentified objects on its radar. US Navy Chief Master-at-arms Sean Cahill (responsible for force protection), was part of analyzing and coordinating the response, culminating in two F/A-18 fighter jets being sent out from the USS Nimiz carrier to intercept. The incident was filmed by their flir camera (forward-looking Infrared), which is now known as the "Tic Tac" video.
This is an excerpt of the English speaking part from the danish podcast "Flying Saucers" (Flyvende tallerken), from 2021-06-21, with Frederik Dirks Gottlieb, and co-host Anja C. Andersen, astrophysicist from Niels Bohr Institute, (full show is recommended for fellow Scandinavians).
