After delivering them from bondage in Egypt, Yah proposes and covenant relationship with the descendants of Isra’el (Ya’akov). They accept and agree to do all that Yah says. Amazingly, the first thing he has to say is not an instruction but expresses a key bit of information, who he is and how he shall be known.
