Iowa Senate Member Jim Carlin Supports Medical Freedom at the Midwest Freedom Convoy

March 5, 2022 Gina Spampinato & Trent Thevenot organized the Midwest Freedom Convoy in which convoys from out of state and in Iowa drove across the Iowa to show their love for freedom in America.

Iowa Senate Member Jim Carlin who is running against Charles Grassley in the primaries spoke at the event.

Several Iowans came together to contribute with very generous donations for the cause. Pizza Ranch & Sweet to Eat Bakery were a few of the businesses to cater food to truckers & participants. The Flying J truck stop was gracious enough to allow truckers to host the event at their locations. So much food was donated and unable to be taken home, that some of it was sent to the food pantry and some of it was handed out to random truckers on their shifts.

People participating in the group are opposed to the mandates enabled by the Emergency Powers Act under the Biden administration. Several participants would like to see the Emergency Powers Act removed. The event was a tremendous success as people lined up and showed their support across Iowa over bypasses, on the sides of roads, and at the truck stops. Speakers included:
