Vice President Informed Choice Iowa Compares Iowa to Anti-Mandate Success in Idaho & New Hampshire

March 26, 2022 Iowans gathered in front of the Des Moines, Iowa Capitol to fight for their freedoms and oppose mandates. A food truck was present and Sweet to Eat Bakery sold various snacks such as pie and cookies. Several speakers gave speeches on the matter from Jim Carlin, Gary Lefler, Rick Stewart, Gina Spampinato, Kari Hartpence, to Trent Thevenot. Brei Johnson, vice president of Informed Choice Iowa reflects on how our representatives failed to pass . "The Idaho house approves a bill that prevents and fines vaccine requirements. This bill also prevents local government entities like school districts from requiring Covid vaccination. Where are you Iowa? Where's Iowa leaders. While Iowa's Medical and Privacy and Freedom Act got hijacked by leadership with special interest, Alaska passed an anti discrimination bill through the Senate. New Hampshire state house...They've been on a roll has capitalized on the recently elected legislators who ran on the premise of liberty and medical freedom. These newly elected legislators delivered big for their constituents. The New Hampshire house became the first legislative body to pass a bill essentially allowing citizens to access to Ivermectin over the counter--at a pharmacy. Here in Iowa we failed to pass HF-2203, a bill insuring doctors wouldn't get punished by the board of medicine for prescribing a safe FDA approved drugs. Yet New Hampshire was able to pass a bill allowing patients to access it over the counter. Here is what else New Hampshire was able to accomplish. A ban on localities implementing mask mandates, a law repealing the health commissioner's authority to add a vaccine to the school schedule of required shots, a law requiring patients to have visitors in the hospital. Who has been denied access to see a loved one? Just kind of curious. Yeah..They have no representation. That is tragic. A law prohibiting state enforcement of the vaccine mandates and data collection. A law prohibiting the state from requiring a private business to have a vaccine mandate, a law allowing creation of new healthcare facilities that only take direct payment which will honestly take the medical cartel out of the picture, a law prohibiting any federal Covid restrictions to those facilities, a law prohibiting judges from using the parents refusal to vaccinate their child as a basis for stripping parental rights, a law making them the first state requiring a patient opt into the vaccine registry in order for his or her vaccination status to be recorded cause we know data is the next commodity. Our health data...They will use it as a commodity. So that is what New Hampshire did." Brei continues to reflect on all of the similar bills that were brought to the table in Iowa with a "super majority" such as HF 2545: The Medical Privacy and Freedom Act that were just set aside to idle and expire by legislators like Jack Whitver and Mike Bousselot as they pursued their own interests.
