Before Christopher Curry co-founded Acorn Computers in the late 1970's (and in doing so became a fierce rival of Sir Clive Sinclair), he actually worked with Sir Clive for over a decade at what was called Sinclair Radionics working on some key products along the way.

In this clip Christopher talks about creating one of those products, the Sinclair Executive Calculator, an invention that brought the pocket calculator and in fact the brand 'Sinclair' to the world!

Christopher Curry was portrayed by actor Martin Freeman in the BBC4 film Micro Men which highlighted the rivalry between Sinclair Research and Acorn Computers in the early 1980's for the coveted BBC Computer contract, a battle eventually won by Acorn leading to the BBC Micro Computer, something we will cover in our new film.

This clip is from our new documentary film celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum called 'The Rubber-Keyed Wonder: 40 Years of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum'.

2022 will mark 40 years since the Sinclair ZX Spectrum was released in April 1982! The ZX Spectrum computer went onto sell over 5 million units and was one of the most important contributions in 50 years of video game history, and for many was the most important and perhaps most loved! It wasn't just the wonderful library of computer games that sprung up because of the ZX Spectrum, but it was the chief component that kick-started the British Video Games Industry in the 1980s!

With this project, we are making a standalone 80min feature film documentary plus loads of additional featurettes and game design stories that cover a huge array of subjects all to do with our mutual love for the ZX Spectrum and put it all into one celebratory, 40th anniversary package!

Anyone who PRE-ORDERS our new film gets to join the production gaining IMMEDIATE ACCESS to a '1 HOUR BACKER PACK' full of clips from the upcoming film and game makings of such as Jon Ritman on Match Day 1 & 2, Graftgold, Equinox with Raff Cecco, Julian Gollop on Chaos and a lot more!
