Most things in Las Vegas have a shelf life. Getting attached to its history can be frustrating. Iconic casinos blown to smithereens, performers retire or get replaced or our attention span kills it. Not in the case of the Peppermill and fireside lounge. Its doors opened on Dec 26th 1971 on the Las Vegas strip. It holds the title of the oldest bar on the strip. The original owners, Matt Caraselli and Bill Paganetti created a 70’s icon. To this date it holds much of its personality from owners to owners and thru 5 renovations. It might look familiar as you as its in the Movies and tv shows such as Casino, Showgirls and CSI Las Vegas. Some of the things you don’t want to miss while visiting this property is its signature drink called the Scorpion. The Bloody Marys are things legands are made of. The portions are large and everything is made fresh. So far it’s the fastest service in all the restaurants we have visited in Las Vegas. Cleanliness is unbelievable. Forget about the casino buffets, this is the place you want to visit. You will not be disappointed.
