How To Repair A Leaning FENCE Post | ASMR

Here is a cheap fix for your broken fence (I paid $18 at Home Depot). Please try to support your local mom & pop hardware or home improvement store. **PRO TIP: Contrary to my installation, installing the EZ Mender on the side of the post, rather than the front, offers more support to the fence flexing in and out. Personally, I did not want to remove boards and hardware. Laziness! So, if you can, place the bracket on the side in between the panel and the post. Installing it on the side will help so that the fence won't rock after the fix.

I demonstrate how I made this quick repair (5-10 minutes without filming). This is a good broken fence fix on a budget. I'm sure there are many options, I used an E-Z Mender (by Simpson StrongTie). It is a black, powder coated, fence post mender plate (for 4x4 fence post).

The instructions say the repair kit will work if your post is set in concrete or dirt. Many people use these when first building a fence; using one on each side. For my repair, I just used one on my side of the fence, which seems to work great.

Enjoy!
