I thought I'd broaden the channel contents to cover some musical interests & such. Here's some early archive stuff from years gone by, when it was actually a bit rare to see a guitarist decently pull off solos like Eruption and Spanish Fly. This was when awareness of Malmsteen (Malmsteen's Rising Force - '84) and Satriani (Not of this Earth - '86) was not present. Improvised guitar solos were still rebellious and hadn't earned hate. Eddie was influenced by his dad's jazz records, where improvisation was the thing... I decided to upload for Guitar Lovers, my friend Johnny Tsakinikas' (aka Johnny Blaze, aka Johnny Rushmore) tribute to early EVH. (It seems no one can do complete justice) to the Genius of Eddie Van Halen, but Johnny could do a pretty well. Here I took the old cassette audio and spruced it up just a bit...(The solo features some bits also inspired by Uli John Roth, who had done the albums Earthquake and Fire Wind around this time. ), This was performed about 2 Years after the Van Halen 1 album, when many guitarists were seeking to learn the techniques and yet guitarist Johnny Tsakinikas captured some of the exhilaration. Johnny Tsakinikas, aka Johnny Blaze, aka Johnny Rushmore who handcrafts Rushmore Guitars for some legends of guitar. Check out Rushmore guitars.

The recording is old, please forgive the audio quality.
