Meat Loaf's power ballad "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" is an original song written by Jim Steinman that appears on his 1977 album Bat Out of Hell. Billboard Hot 100 for 23 weeks, reaching #11; RIAA gold single for one million sales; platinum certification for the last 23 weeks. It remains his second-highest-charting US single, after "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" (1993), and is one of his career-defining songs.
