"West of Eden Prairie" – Piano Sketch

I'm in the process of writing a concert band piece for the Eden Prairie Community Band (epcommunityband.com). It’s a Western. This piece seeks to give the audience a glimpse of those early days in Eden Prairie, MN, and its surrounding area.

The title is "West of Eden Prairie," written in the key of "C" with a tempo of 88 BPM.

The Eden Prairie town board held its first meeting on May 11, 1858, which is the same day that Minnesota became a state (edenprairiehistory.org).

The next step is for me to orchestrate it for concert band.
