I try to avoid potting up NEW ARRIVALS during the months of July & August, when it is the hottest and driest in my climate. I can better control the dehydration of the orchid via it's transpiration process better if the orchid is outside of the pot. BUT, there are always exceptions and here is one such example. In this video, I will show you a simple way to pot up an orchid during the most challenging months and still protect the root nubbins, while not risking the decline of the orchid through dehydration.
