Minsk is the capital and the largest city of Belarus, located on the Svislach and the now subterranean Niamiha rivers. As the capital, Minsk has a special administrative status in Belarus and is the administrative center of Minsk Region and Minsk District.

. There was a little snowfall and the city was decorated with Christmas lights. Night was falling. People were getting ready for the holiday and there weren't many of them on the streets.
