The Only Prayers That God Hears

Over the years I've heard a lot of sermons, read a lot of books on the subject of prayer.

People have a lot of opinions on the questions “Is God even listening”, “Can I even pray about that”, I been praying about this for so long what's the use?

Peter gives us the answer.

1Pe 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 

The first thing Peter tells us is that “The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous”.

This means that God is protecting us at all times, it also means that He is guiding our steps.

Psa 23:3b  He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 

Next Peter tells us that God hears and considers every prayer we pray. “his ears are open unto their prayers”.

Next comes the bad news ”The face of the Lord is against them that do evil”.

This is my opinion; When it comes to the unsaved I believe God will answer any prayer that involves them drawing closer to God?

I believe this because the difficulties and challenges in their lives God will use to draw them to Him?

I do not believe He will answer any prayer of the unsaved that has nothing do with them drawing closer to God?

What about the prayers of the saved that seem to go unanswered?

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 
Mat 7:8  For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. 

The absolute truth is God answers every prayer, in His own time and in his own way.
